HotandSmokyCheeseburger

Turn up the flavor on burger night. Juicy ground chuck patties are topped with melty Sargento® Carolina Reaper Jack Cheese (Monterey Jack Cheese with Jalapeño, Habanero, and Carolina Reaper peppers) for a bold, smoky kick, then layered with a mix of charred onion, corn, avocado, and cilantro. Served on toasted buns with a touch of creamy mayo.

Directions

  1. Form ground chuck into 4 equal patties. Season with your favorite seasoning and set aside.
  2. Set air fryer or oven to air fry or broil. Transfer onion and corn to a small baking sheet or roasting pan. Broil mixture for about 5-7 minutes or until lightly charred. Remove and set aside to cool. In a medium bowl, combine the charred onion and corn, avocado and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper if desired and set aside.
  3. Pre-heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add burger patties to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until nicely browned.
  4. Flip burgers and cook an additional 2-3 minutes or until cooked to desired temperature. Remove pan from heat.
  5. Top each burger with 2 slices of cheese and cover pan to let residual heat melt cheese.
  6. Spoon the reserved avocado mixture onto bun bottoms. Place cheeseburgers over avocado mixture, then Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the cut side of each bun top and place over burgers. Serve.
